Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Irritable bowel syndrome is a very uncomfortable disease, made worse by its symptoms of: bloating, Gas, chronic Constipation and or diarrhea, abdominal pain and cramping that may go away after having a bowel movement; feeling the need to have a bowel movement after you've already had one; and feeling a strong urge to have a bowel movement. Some people feel best when they do not eat anything at all.
It affects an estimated 35 million people in the United States, 60 percent to 65 percent of whom are female.
One in five Americans has IBS, making it one of the most common disorders diagnosed by doctors.
