Prerequisites to Healing - Basic Understandings Before You Begin to Heal

There are some basic concepts that must be understood before you begin your healing journey; they include:

  • Responsibility
  • Mind of a Child
  • Attitude
  • Thinking vs. Knowing
  • Focus
  • Perseverance
  • Letting Go

Responsibility

Whose responsibility is your health? Is it your spouse’s, your mother’s, your father’s, your pastor’s, priest’s, rabbi’s, spiritual mentor’s, is it your doctor’s? No, it is yours and yours alone. So whatever is in the past is finished, let go of it and move on to the present moment of health and healing.

Mind of a Child

The mind of a young child is open because it has nothing in it. It goes by the heart, by the spirit. I have seen people who say that their grand babies cry whenever they try to hold them. Why? Because a little baby has no past memory, no established thought patterns from which to analyze the world; so he follows his heart, his spirit, and when he is held by someone who is very out of balance in body, mind and emotions, he can feel it and it does not feel good, so he cries. What a beautiful demonstration of total health. The baby’s heart/spirit told the baby’s body that this is not a good energy to be in contact with, and because the baby is so pure and unblocked, its awareness of imbalances around it are very keen, designed by God to be like that to keep him healthy throughout his life. The problem begins as the baby grows and is given toxic, dead, deficient food, sugar filled drinks instead of water, as it is exposed to EMFs that weaken the nervous and immune systems, as it is exposed to a world system of lies and absorbs those lies into its mind, emotions and body. This causes the flesh to grow, the ego to grow, false beliefs are programmed into the system, personality or masks are developed to cope and prevent mental/emotional hurt and pain, all this progressively replacing the inborn Truth that the baby was meant to live, grow and develop in. The end result is an out-of-balance creation of God. It’s disease just waiting to happen!

Attitude

Attitude is how we see everything in our life. There are three types: negative, positive and God. A negative attitude is seeing everything as negative, seeing life as what is going to go wrong, it is too good to be true, it is always cloudy, or even if it is sunny, don’t get used to it because the clouds are coming, why did it happen to me? A positive attitude appears on the surface as one that promotes health, but when one looks deeper beyond the superficial layer we see that, what is good today can easily become bad tomorrow. People with good attitudes use their minds to try to convince themselves that everything is going to be all right, “don’t worry about it, I can handle it, I am strong”. The problem is a positive attitude is still a product of the mind and if it is pushed or stressed enough it will swing from positive to negative, from good to bad. The “God” attitude is the only one that truly promotes total health, healing and life because it is a product of the heart, and of the spirit, not of the mind. The God attitude see everything from the heart, it sees everything through God’s eyes. It sees “all are one”, it sees everyone and everything as a creation of God. No matter how bad or negative someone might appear, he/she is still God’s creation with a lot of built-up and passed-down blockages and imbalances. It sees everything in life as a gift from God and although some packages (like disease) come in a very unappealing outer wrap, those are the very ones that have the greatest blessings inside. It has only these desires, to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength,” and to “Love your neighbor as yourself.” This is not work, this is out of the love, joy and peace that God has filled his/her heart with that this attitude flows from.

Thinking vs. Knowing

The journey into total health, healing and life is not a journey of the mind but one of the heart/spirit. Question. Do you think you are healed or do you know you are healed? Thinking is a product of the mind; knowing is a product of the heart. If you only think you are healed, you are easily swayed by the thinking process once the healing journey gets a little rough and rocky. Your typical response to stress and pressure in the healing journey is “I didn’t think it was going to be this difficult” and you quit the journey because your mind talks you out of it. If you know you are healed, you are not shaken no matter what tomorrow brings because you know God is in it. God has put the knowing in your heart and all you have to do is listen to your heart, obey it, and never quit, stop or give up on the journey because you do not walk alone, God is walking with you every step of the way and at times, when needed, carrying you. This again can be illustrated with the young baby. Does the baby think that the person holding her is her mother or does she know that she is her mother? The baby has not developed the mental concepts of mother, but just try to take that baby out of her mother’s arms and you will quickly hear her response, loud crying. The baby knows that their two hearts beat as one, and only one can calm and soothe, it is the one from which she came from. She knows her mother. This is how we know God. This is how we know we are healed.

Focus

This is keeping your eyes on the target. Keeping your eyes fixed on what God has put in your heart as your path to total health. It’s not looking to the left or to the right or comparing your journey to anyone else’s. It is only seeing, hearing and speaking the Truth that God has filled your heart, your spirit with. It’s keeping your eyes on Him, on His Words of Truth spoken into your heart, and faithfully walking out that Truth to completion.

Perseverance

It’s not those who start the race strong who receive all the blessings, the victory and freedom, but those who finish strong who receive them. Perseverance means endurance, patience, patient waiting, and steadfastness. The concept of never giving up, never stopping, never quitting, and not shrinking or falling back all are implied, to keep choosing the Truth each moment.

“Consider it pure joy… whenever you face trials of many kinds,

because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” (NIV)

Letting Go

In order to become the new you, the you that God created to be in total health of body, mind, and spirit, you must let go of the old you. The old you is the old world/ego/flesh/religion/5 sense bound/time past and future bound/physical limitation bound, lie-filled mind. So how do you let go? First you become balanced physically, living the 7 basic steps to total health; this causes the healing energy to be redirected inwardly to heal (let go or release) the stored negative energy (emotions) from your past and those that were generationally passed to you. Next the wrong mind patterns (stored lies) start to heal (let go or release) and the conscious thinking mind begins to be reprogrammed with the Truth; once this is sufficiently renewed with Truth, the stored memory in the unconscious mind heals (lets go or releases all stored lies). Once the physical body is balanced, the emotional toxins have been released, the conscious and unconscious mind has been reprogrammed with Truth, then it is time to put the old mind completely to death, to let go of ALL the lies that were programmed into the human race since Adam broke the first covenant with God and ate (became one with) the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, the tree of lies. How can we put the old mind to death? After balancing body, mind and spirit we always follow the Truth God places in our heart instead of the lies that fill our mind. We let go of the mind way (thinking, calculating, knowledge, remembering from our past), and we hold on to the heart/spirit way (knowing in our heart, following only what brings love, joy and peace). To let go means to let go of being ruled by the mind, and to begin being ruled by the heart/spirit. God’s ways (the knowing of the heart/spirit) are not man’s ways (the knowledge of the mind). A powerful tool in letting go (of the old mind) is to break the mind barrier by doing the exact opposite of what your mind tells you to. When you do this the mind barrier begins to shatter and the Spirit is empowered in you. An example is a woman who has a fear of flying (fear is a product of the old, lie-filled mind, and one of its most powerful chains to keep us imprisoned, and under its rule). Fear is not of the Spirit; love, joy, peace and hope are. This woman is on a plane as it starts to taxi down the runway, when it stops and the pilot says there is engine trouble, the mechanic has been called to repair it. The old mind tells her with fear, “You better get off this plane,” but her heart has a peace. She remains and the plane takes off. Halfway through the flight the plane hits severe turbulence and her old mind says, “See you should have gotten off the plane, now you are in big trouble.” The fear rises higher and higher, causing anxiety, and bringing her to the verge of panic, when she is so overwhelmed she lets go of her mind completely and goes into the fear. She amazingly finds a tremendous peace in the midst of the storm. She has let go of her mind, broken the mind barrier and entered the presence of God.
