Since digestion is the function of the small intestine it is very important to know the basics about proper digestion. So here they are:
1.
Eat living/raw uncooked plant food (contains enzymes to digest the food)
2. When you eat any food, take digestive enzymes (DGST-P) to ensure thorough digestion.
3. Never drink more than 6 ounces of water (never any other liquid) with your meal or you will dilute your digestive enzymes and cause Leaky Gut Syndrome.
4. Do not mix more than four different foods in a meal (except sprouts). It causes a gastric digestive strain.
5. Do not eat on the run, but in a relaxed calm environment. If you eat when you are stressed, you DO NOT digest your food leading to Leaky Gut Syndrome.
6. Always drink your water or any other liquid at least 2 hours after a meal and no closer than 1 hour before a meal.
7. Do not eat the same food each day if it is cooked. Rotate food or you definitely will develop food sensitivity and Leaky Gut Syndrome. This rule does not pertain to those who are eating living/raw plant food.
8. If you are under a lot of stress or very emotional, DO NOT EAT. You will not digest the food and the undigested food will cause Leady Gut Syndrome which will weaken your immune system. Drink water instead.
9. Remember, you crave what you do not digest. If you crave protein, then eating meat or more animal products (which are the most difficult to digest) causes even more deficiencies because if you can’t digest a little, eating more hard to digest food just makes more problems. Instead, eat less of a more digestible form of protein, i.e. sprouts, seeds and vegetables.
10. Do not eat within three hours of going to bed. You will not digest it fully and leads to Leaky Gut Syndrome.
11. Try to get your heavier meal in early in the day when the digestive strength is highest.
