Water

Why do I need a water distiller?

Your body is 75% water.  After oxygen, it is the most important substance your body needs to take in on a daily basis to stay healthy.  Most people do not drink nearly enough water to keep their body functioning at its highest capacity.  With less than 32 ounces of water per 50 pounds of body weight per day, most people will become sub-clinically dehydrated and negatively affect all systems of the body.

Some important facts to know are:

  • A newborn baby is 78% water.

  • A young adult is 72% water.

  • An elderly person is 50% water.

  • Your brain is 85% water.

Why does water content drop 22% from young adult to elderly?  The answer is: not enough water consumption.  If the brain is 85% water and with lower water intake the body is losing more and more water, this water loss is going to negatively affect the brain and nervous system function first.  Since the nervous system controls all other systems, you can begin to see how decreased water intake can negatively impact your entire health.

The next question is: If I am going to drink 32 ounces of water per 50 pounds of body weight daily, what is the best water to drink because all tap water is highly toxic?

  • More than 700 chemicals have been found in our drinking water, and 129 of these chemicals have been cited by the EPA as posing serious health risks. Yet the EPA only requires water to be tested for about 80 of these chemicals.
  • Some of the toxins in tap water include cancer causing substances like arsenic, benzene, chlorine, fluoride, lead, THM’s (trihalomethanes), MTBE(fuel additive), nitrates and nitrites (from fertilizers), radon, nuclear waste,  perchlorate
    (component of rocket fuel)

The answer is: the purest, which is steam distilled, post carbon filtered water.  Why?  Because it essentially has nothing in it but water molecules.  If someone drinks reverse osmosis water, they are drinking purified water with inorganic minerals, which cannot be used properly in the body.  These are the same inorganic minerals that clog the pipes in your house.  They can do the same in your body.  Also, with reverse osmosis water, if the filters are not changed exactly on the set schedule, the water quality goes way down and bacteria start to enter your drinking water.  The reason distilled water purchased at the store is not recommended is because:

1.)       It is in plastic containers, which can leach out of the container and negatively affect your health.

2.)       Bottled, distilled water does not have to be post filtered after the distillation process.  This post filter ensures the purest water.

The Waterwise 8800 is the best choice for beginning water distillation units because of the following:

1.)     It is easy to use and easy to clean.  It has a digital display that tells you when it needs to be cleaned.

2.)     It has post carbon filtration that ensures the purest water.

3.)     It can produce up to four gallons per day of pure water.

Water is such a critical factor in our health and healingone that has sadly been neglected by most people.  Start drinking to your health and your family’s health today with the purest water available.

Tell Me About Steam Distillation!

Even in this age of high technology, there is no perfect purification process. However, when you consider the other alternatives…distillation comes the closest to producing perfect water.

In fact, distillation is widely recognized as the single most effective method of purification.

How Steam Distillation Works

Steam distillation kills harmful bacteria and viruses, removes virtually all foreign particles, inorganic minerals, heavy metals, chlorine and most volatile organic chemicals (VOCs).

Water is heated in a chamber and turned into vapor (steam). This water vapor rises leaving impurities behind in the boiling chamber. The purified vapor then enters a condenser where it is cooled and returned to the liquid state.

1 Ordinary tap water is heated to 212 degrees F (100 degrees C), killing bacteria, cysts and viruses by continuous boiling.
2 Steam rises leaving behind dissolved solids, salts, heavy metals and other substances.
3 Low boiling light gases are vented.
4 Steam is condensed in a stainless steel coil.
5 Distilled water then percolates through a coconut shell carbon filter, enhancing quality by adsorption of VOCs.
6 The purified drinking water is collected and stored.

Quality distillers are designed to remove light gases by venting and special carbon post filter treatment. Unlike simple water filtration, bacteria growth is virtually nonexistent since water is passed through a natural coconut shell carbon only after it has been steam distilled. Thus, any bacteria that was previously in the water has been killed and left behind by the distillation process.

The Highest Quality Water Consistently Over Time

Distillation provides you with consistent purity, gallon after gallon, year in year out. Neither reverse osmosis nor carbon filtration can guarantee consistent quality over time. The purity of your drinking and cooking water is guaranteed when you use a quality home distiller.

The “Home Economics” of Distilled Water

Home distillation is also more economical than other alternatives. It’s far less expensive than bottled water. For example, an efficient distiller makes a gallon of fresh distilled water at home for about 25 cents vs. bottled water at 89 cents.

YOUR
SAVINGS!

Home distillation is convenient. You never have to run out for water between shopping trips and there are no storage problems or heavy bottles. There is no worry about the quality and freshness of homemade distilled water.

Quality distilled water is odorless, colorless, tasteless and safe. It can improve the taste and color of food and the natural flavor of coffee, tea and other beverages. Distilled water can also increase the life of water using appliances like steam irons, coffee makers and humidifiers.
