Health Tip-Wake Up Early
The ideal time to go to sleep is when the sun goes down and to get up when the sun comes up, with at least 9.5 hours of deep, dark sleep and 3.5 hours of that before midnight. This means you go to bed at 8:30 p.m. and you get up at 6:00 a.m. One way to shift your sleep pattern in this direction for those of you who are night owls and stay up late is to try this: Set your alarm for 4:00 a.m. every morning for 1-2 weeks. The first 3 to 4 days will be painful because you think you can get up early and stay up late and you CANNOT. You will fully realize this by day three, which you will find you can barely keep your eyes open past 8:00 p.m. Once this is established, then you can work more into the 5:00 to 6:00 a.m. up and 7:30 p.m. to 8:30p.m. to sleep routine. Remember, the earlier you get up, the more time you will have to be still, pray, meditate, exercise and get ready for your day in body, mind and spirit. Also, remember nighttime is flesh feeding time. You usually eat health robbing food and watch health robbing television after 8:00 p.m.. So, instead get to bed and get up early. Most people do not eat bad food and watch television at 4:00 a.m. This will get you ready to handle whatever the world throws at you that day.
