Obesity raises overall risk of breast cancer: study
Women who gain weight as adults face a higher lifetime risk of all types of breast cancer researchers reported.
The study adds to a large body of evidence showing that weight and breast cancer can be closely linked.
A study of more than 44,000 women found that the more weight a woman gained, the greater her risk for all types, stages, and grades of breast cancer.
Compared with women who gained 20 pounds or less during adulthood, women who gained more than 60 pounds were almost twice as likely to have ductal type breast tumors and more than 1.5 times more likely to have lobular type cancers, according to the American Cancer Society.
The risk of breast cancer that had spread tripled for women who gained more than 60 pounds, they reported in the journal Cancer.
Breast cancer risk is linked to increased levels of the hormone estrogen and fat tissue produces estrogen, adding to the risk.
Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death among U.S. women, after lung cancer. More than 200,000 people are diagnosed and another roughly 40,000 die from it each year, according to the American Cancer Society.

Dr. Keith and Laurie Nemec’s comments on obesity raises overall risk of breast cancer study
What this study showed was that as weight goes up in adulthood increase of cancer goes up proportionally. So recapping the article stated that was published in the journal Cancer, showed that women who gained 20 pounds or less during adulthood, as compared to women who gained more than 60 pounds, the women that gained more than 60 pounds were almost twice as likely to have ductile type cancer tumors and 1½ times likely to have lobular type cancers. Also they found that the risk of breast cancer, that had already spread, tripled for women who gained more that 60 pounds. Summarizing it also showed that breast cancer risk is linked to increased levels of the hormone estrogen and fat tissue produces estrogen adding to the risk. Now what you want to take home from this study and keep and understand is that breast cancer, and all health is related to optimum or what we call total health. And in living the the Seven Basic Steps to Total Health™ which are:
1. Air—you are not deep diaphragm breathing to oxygenate your body.
2. Water—you are not drinking 32 ounces of distilled water per 50/lbs per body weight per day.
3. Food—you are not consuming a diet of living/raw plant food which has the highest energy, bioelectricity, enzymes and bioavailable nutrient content to either maintain or restore your health.
4. Sleep—you are not sleeping 9.5 hours with 3.5 of them before midnight.
5. Exercise—you are not exercising 30 minutes every day.
6. Fasting—you are not fasting from the normal Standard American Diet (SAD).
7. Prayer—you are taking the time throughout your day to regularly still your mind so you can hear the voice of God spoken into your heart.
Don’t look at this as just a breast cancer study, but a cancer study, a weakened immune system study because that what cancer is. So when you are gaining extra weight, it does not have to be 60 pounds, carrying any extra weight at all will weaken the system and strain the system and predispose it to more symptoms, conditions and more potential diseases. Of course the more weight that you go up, the more you strain the system. But do not think that just because you’re only 20 pounds overweight, you’re exempt, because many other studies have shown this category of weight gain also increases the likelihood of many diseases. Fat tissue tends to be a hormonal store house and a hormonal production area, and this is where we run into cancer risk and other hormone driven diseases being at risk when we carry extra fat on our body. Also the extra fat strains the system because there is more blood to pump to it, to oxygenate and feed it; more waste products that come from it that have to be processed by the body’s elimination system. This is a tremendous drain on the system. It’s kind of equivalent to how your joints would feel when you put, you know 50 or 100 pounds on your back, and carry that around all day. The joints get tired, they’re not used to that. They were not designed to carry that much weight. Well the same rule applies internally, not only was your body not designed to carry that much weight on the joints, it was not designed to carry that much extra tissue that it has to metabolize, feed, oxygenate, and cleanse or detoxify.
