3. Increases Lifespan
Studies done at Brown University showed the importance of overeating versus starvation. One group of animals was overfed each day while the other group was just maintained on a starvation diet. The results were very eye opening. The starvation group live on average about 40 percent longer than the overfed group.21 Another study was done in which two groups of rats were used. One was fed every two hours, the other only once a day. The rats that ate once a day lived 17 percent longer and had higher enzyme levels and activity.22 The people that live the longest typically eat a low calorie diet of raw fruits and vegetables, sprouts, whole grains, seeds, beans and nuts. They drink pure water, breathe clean air, work physically (like farming) 10-12 hours per day and are separated from the stress of the world. Even fruit flies exceed their lifespan many times over when they are fasted and just given essential nutrients.23
4. Increases Energy
Anyone who juice fasts regularly will tell you how great they feel and how much energy they have and rightly so because eating and digestion is a tremendous energy drain. This is if we are eating properly, not consuming foods we are sensitive to, not over-eating, not drinking with our meals to dilute the digestive enzymes, and not improperly combining our meals. All these lead to increased intestinal permeability (leaky gut syndrome) which causes toxins and large undigested food particles to enter our bloodstream. This causes us to become toxic, and have weakened immune systems. The number one symptom of toxicity is fatigue and sluggishness. Juice fasting will restore your energy level.
5. Increased Enzyme Store Bank Account Which Tremendously Increases Total Health and Vitality
When you juice fast you do not waste your enzymes on digestion. So the 50-60 percent of the body’s enzymes that were being wasted on digesting dead, cooked enzymeless food can now be used to strengthen the immune system, heal the body, and allow the body to function at greater levels of total health = wholeness. Just think of the enzyme content in your body like a bank account. The more raw, live, uncooked food you eat, the more deposits you are making in your total health = wholeness. The more dead, cooked food you consume, the more you have to withdrawal from your body’s own enzymes causing depletion of the enzymes needed to maintain vital health or total health = wholeness. This type of eating makes heavy withdrawals from your enzyme bank account. Once you are enzyme bankrupt, disease begins.
If instead of eating dead, cooked enzymeless food which drains your body of enzymes and energy, you were to drink live, uncooked enzymes, vitamins, minerals and phytochemical rich juice,you would not only stop the degeneration dysfunction and death of your cells, tissues, glands and organs by not eating and having to digest food, but you would add enzymes from the raw juice to your enzyme store (bank account), promoting total health = wholeness. The higher your enzyme levels, the lower the risk of diseases. It’s a simple fact of life. This is why you could eat anything and do anything and stay up all night when you were young and you never got sick. The younger you are, the higher your enzyme store (bank account) balance was, because you had not made as many withdrawals yet.
